YIN YOGA

Step into Class and Melt into your Mat

This style of yoga is quite different to a flow class and it's intentions are different too.

Where an active flow class may be described as yang yoga, the unmoving, stable, hidden aspect of things is more yin. The poses are different, with different names, are mainly floor based and are held for many minutes......this is not restorative yoga though!

There are 3 main principles of Yin Yoga

(1) Find your appropriate edge: move slowly and gently into the pose.

(2) Stillness: consciously try to release into the pose, and remain still. (3) Hold the position: We hold a pose for 1-3 minutes and maybe a little longer at times.

Yin is a very beautiful, effective and meditative practice with many benefits and I can't wait to share the practice with you!

You will be guided through everything you need to know, so classes are suitable for complete beginners as well as the more experienced.
